Working the night shift is what we sign up for as sleep technologists. The benefits of working nights are no traffic to and from work, working with a solid but light crew, and working at your own pace. However working nights comes with its fair amount of problems.
Working nights can lead to weight gain and sleep deprivation and that can lead to other sleep disorders like sleep apnea. Best thing is to take a nap during the shift and try to get to bed as soon as you get home.
To get an idea of what us graveyard shifters experience, I’ve compiled a few tweets from people expressing their experiences with working nights.
